Kaori Yuki
Kaori Yuki (由貴 香織里, Yuki Kaori, born December 18, in Tokyo) is a manga artist (or mangaka).
The name "Kaori Yuki" is but a pen name consisting of Saitou "Yuki" and her actual first name “Kaori.” She has always loved to draw when she was young in elementary school. Kaori has a fondness for cats, coffee, cheesecake, sleeping, movies, shiny lace, the moon, Alice in Wonderland and Japanese rock bands.
Her first professional manga was done in 1987, in "Hana to Yume" after she was picked from an art contest they were holding. Yuki describes herself as temperamental, without self-control. She claims she lacks both in long or short term memory.
There is not too much to know about the mangaka known as Kaori Yuki as she likes to keep her life under wraps. She does not like publicity very much. Her first work before becoming a professional manga artist was called Vampire’s Love. She considered it “practice work.” Kaori’s official debut was when she placed in the semi-finals of an art contest called “Love Hunt” which is a story she considers as “old, pathetic and couldn't possibly win.” Her debut work “Natsufuku no Erie” was published in a Hana to Yume monthly issue. After having that accomplished, Kaori started writing a series of short stories which as Cruel Fairytales, Neiji, and Gravel Kingdom. Kaori Yuki considers that her own style has been influenced by western paintings and music from her high school years.
In her own world, there is no right or wrong and everything is decided by the people in it. Her characters struggle through many emotional and mental situations. Her imagination can be somewhat twisted but that is what she is known for. A unique sense of mind and style.

Angel Sanctuary
Angel Sanctuary (天使禁猟区, Tenshi Kinryōku) is one of Kaori Yuki's most celebrated works. This 20-volume series was originally serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume. The manga was adapted as a three-episode OVA series that loosely covers the first story arc; it was intended to be an introduction to the manga rather than a complete story, and thus ends on an abrupt cliffhanger. Both the manga and anime feature mature content. (from Wikipedia)
Story: Setsuna Mudo is a problematic high school student, who is in love with his sister. To add to his problems, he is also discovered as the reincarnation of a fallen angel, the organic angel Alexiel.
Because of this, Setsuna is followed from both demons and angels, that, recognising in him their saviour, try to awake Alexiel, to start a new war against God.
At the beginnig, because of his love for Sara, Setsuna refuses to acknowlegde that he is an angels reincarnation, despite the fact that he clearly is not a normal uman being, having some of Alexiel's high astral powers.
Sara's death will be the key that completely unleashed his powers, forcing hin to accept the fact that he truly is Alexiel's reincarnation.
After many events,
and thanks to his unusual charisma, Setsuna will became the leader for both angels and demons, and he will have to face Rosiel, Lucifer and God itself.
Alexiel
Alexiel -the organic angel- is one of the most powerful angels in heaven.
During the war against hell, Alexiel betrayed God and fell, fighting with the demons against heaven. She tried to kill her twin brother Rosiel - the inorganic angel- but failed, and instead she sealed him into the Assiah (the earth).
For her crime, Alexiel was sentenced to the most severe punishment given to the fallen. Her body and soul were separated. The body was frozen in an angel crystal, while her soul was sentenced to be incarnated into a human mortal. That mortal's life was sentenced to be filled with physical and emotional pain. Everytime Alexiel was re-incarnated, the cycle begins anew.
As the story begin she is reincarnated into Setsuna Mudo, a high school student.
